Amsterdam - “wijkweb” assessment
Amsterdam hosts a two-day evaluation board

On May, 18 & 19, 2006 the Amsterdam pilot project will undergo a two-day evaluation process carried out by the interregional partnership. The assessment will be held at the community centre Pluspunt and the Community School ‘t Koggeschip.

A special highlight of the event will be a guided tour through the new building of the Community School‘t Koggeschip and an invitation by the cooking club of the inhabitants of Geuzenveld-Slotermeer, one of the prominent initiatives of the neighbourhood “wijkweb” activities programme. The workshops are targeted at the residents, the project managers, at the strategic level and the local politicians and will discuss the impact of the project at the local level.

Background:

This pilot project is focusing on creating a joint curriculum of leisure time activities for the ‘neighbourhood’ part of the new Community School in the district. In order to achieve best possible results of residents' involvement and their participation, the community programme “Wijkweb” has been set up which encourages residents to participate by creating integrative ideas for joint activities they would like to organise at the Community School.
